Hauling Firewood198142" x 50", oil on masonite large view Safran painted this magnificent team of horses three times. They belonged to a neighbor in New Brunswick (shown) who took them into the woods for winter logging. Safran chose a low view-point in order to emphasize the power and size of the animals. This is one of the artist's larger works. |
