Harold 26" x 36", oil on masonite large view Safran painted Harold on two occasions because he thought him to be a remarkable subject. In this portrait, Safran emphasizes the rugged and quiet strength of the man (note his powerful, corded arms and hands), and contrasts him to the weathered barn behind him.
